The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition just reported that cyclists outnumbered cars on Market Street, again. On June 12, a traffic count on Market Street at Van Ness Avenue showed bicyclists made up 52 percent of eastbound traffic, while motorists comprised 41 percent. This count indicates a nearly 30 percent increase over the number of people biking a year ago. On Bike to Work Day, city counts showed twice as many bikes as cars on Market Street; bicyclists made up 64 percent of eastbound and motorists comprised 32 percent.
Back in Cincinnati, numbers are up at two city intersections (May 2007 to May 2008):
1. Pete Rose Way near Eggleston: 16 percent increase
2. Madison Road near O’Bryonville business district: 40 percent increase

Can you post the hard data on that? I mean it's great that it's a 40% increase but if it went from 6 to 10, there's still a ways to go....
I'd be more interested in these numbers as well. Also, Who'd doing the counting and when? I never new there was data on this type of thing.
