Come one, come all to the Bike-In Movie! We are lining up a fun evening of music, movies, and food. We will have a selection of bike movies, not likely to have been seen by you! Featuring "Still We Ride". Meet at 6pm, the fun starts at 7:00pm sharp! with a ride from the co-op to the event spot (24 W. McMicken). Movies will commence at dark, and will last until about 11pm. Bring helmet and lights. Light food and drinks provided.
May 3 - Chili Century Ride
"The Chili" is a great cycling event open to riders of all levels of experience. Held in Goshen, Ohio and sponsored by the Cincinnati Cycling Club, the ride is also a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Distances range from 25 to 100 miles with a chili dinner to top it off! For more information visit www.chiliride.org.
May 3 - Historic Bicycle Tour of Newport 9:30-11am
Join Bike Newport for a casual bicycle ride through Newport's historic neighborhoods. Meet at the Newport City Building at the corner of 10th and Monmouth Streets at 9:30. A bicycle mechanic from Reser Bicycle Outfitters will be on hand to pump tires and perform basic bicycle safety checks. Please bring a helmet. Free.
May 3 - Findlay Market Commuter Class 10-11am
This is the first class in a series being offered on Saturdays in May. Each commuter class will have a different theme along with the basic information needed to get started riding your bike to work. More information will be available online at www.queencitybike.com. Free.

Informational booths will be available every Saturday in May at Findlay Market. If you don't have time for the class stop by and chat with local cyclists and bicycle commuters, pick up some safety tips, and check out new bikes and accessories! Free.
May 10 - Bike Newport Rodeo with the Newport Police Department 9-11am
The Newport Police Department joins with Bike Newport to present their annual kids bicycle rodeo. Kids and parents will learn basic bicycle safety. The first 100 kids will receive a free
bicycle helmet! The event will be held at the Campbell County Public Library parking lot on
6th Street in Newport at 9am.
May 10 - Findlay Market Commuter Class 10-11am
This is the second in a series of bicycle commuter classes being offered at the Queen City Bike Month Findlay Market Depot. The classes are being taught by local bicycle commuters
and trained LCI instructors. More information will be available online at

May 10 - Reser Bicycle Outfitters Basic Maintenance Class 9-10am
Join the mechanics at Reser Bicycle Outfitters for a basic maintenance class for all ages.
Information to be covered will include how to change a flat, cleaning an lubing your bicycle, identifying bicycle components, knowing when your bicycle is in need of repair. The class will be held at Reser Bicycle Outfitters at the corner of 8th and Monmouth Streets in Newport. For more information call 859-261-6187. Free for Bike Month.
May 10 - Northside to Findlay Market Bike Ride 9am-Noon Rain or shine.
Leave the car behind and meet your neighbors on this group bicycle ride from Northside to historic Findlay Market. Meet at Hoffner Park in Northside -corner of Hamilton Ave and Blue Rock Rd -at 9:00am. We will depart for Findlay Market at 9:30 sharp! We will have an hour and fifteen-minute layover at the market, so we can shop the various vendors, the market house, and the outdoor farmers market. We depart the market at 11:30 sharp! returning to Hoffner Park in Northside at approximately 12:00 noon. Feel free to stick around and share some of the goodies you got at market, or continue on to your home to put up those veggies. Participants must wear a helmet. Bring a backpack or pannier bags to carry your groceries. Route info provided before the ride. Mostly flat route, slow to medium pace, all skill levels, all traffic laws followed.
May 12-16 Bike to Work Week
The week of May 12-16 is National Bike to Work Week. Join bicycle commuters all over the country in riding your bike to work. Compete locally in the Tour De Work Commuter Challenge. Prizes will be awarded for most trips by bike and most miles on a bike. Register online at queencitybike.com. Registration is free.
May 15 - Confident City Cycling Workshop
6-8pm @ MoBo Bicycle Co-op, 1415 Knowlton Ave. Northside, 45223. Jim Coppock and Don Burrell –two esteemed long time cycling activists, instructors, and city planners who work to advocate for bicycling on a municipal level, present this workshop. Jim and Don will bring their years of experience to MoBo with this workshop focused around sharing the road, riding safe and riding smart.
May 16 - Bike to Work Day
Breakfast on the Bridge 6-9am
Bike Newport will be offering breakfast on the Purple People Bridge for bicycle commuters on their way to work. Breakfast provided by Trauth Dairy, Steamboat Bagels and Mamouth Coffee.
Fountain Square: A commuter station will also be available for bicycle commuters on Fountain Square.
Free Rides for Cyclists: Tank and Metro celebrate Bike to Work Day by offering free rides for bicycle commuters who use the bike racks on May 16.
May 16-17 KBBC (Kentucky Bikeways and Bicycle Commission) Meeting
The annual meeting of the KBBC is being held in Newport. The meeting is open to the public. Further information will be available at queencitybike.com.
May 17 - MoBo Bicycle Co-op 2nd Annual Fundraiser
7pm-12 @ Off the Avenue Studio, 1546 Knowlton Ave., Northside, 45223.
Please join us in celebration of one year of successful programming and outreach and fundraising for the next year. The event will feature live entertainment, complementary food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, over 50 art and merchandise items up for raffle and general merriment. Performers include Matt Shelton, Peter Adams, Chuck and Lisa from Wussy, Lion's Rampant, DJ Brian Dilsizian and DigitalKate. Tickets are $8 for members and $10 for non-members. Ride in a group across the Purple People Bridge, stop at Shadeau Breads and continue to Findlay Market. The group ride will return at 11:30. Please bring a helmet. Free.

May 31 - Queen City Bike Month Cyclebration 10am - 6pm
Top off the National Bike Month with a celebration of bicycles! Several local organizations and businesses will be coming together to raise funds for the Ohio River Way's completion of the Little Miami Bicycle Trail. Several activities are planned including a kids bicycle rodeo, slowest bicycle race, raffles, food and live music.
June 7: Queen City Bike + Dine, 1-5 p.m. 15-mile
Progressive dinner-style bike tour in and around downtown. $30.
