From our friends at Cincinnati Bike PAC and the Hamilton County Bike Program:
Laketa Cole is on her bicycle and ready to lead The River Ride this Saturday, July 25th, leaving at 10am from Fountain Square.
Here's a map of this Saturday's River Ride and some of what you'll see en route.
This ride is one of a series that will run through October:
- Laketa Cole changes gears on The River Ride (10 miles) July 25
- David Pepper gets into the saddle for Fountains of Youth (12-14 miles) August 22
- Jeff Berding is out front for The Mural Ride (15-17 miles) September 26
- Roxanne Qualls isn't afraid of a few hills on Pedal to the Parks (20 miles) October 24
Here are photos of the ride and riders who took part in The Hidden Treasure Ride in June.
Why Bike-About?
Cincy Bike-Abouts is a series of rides to show people how easy it is to get around on our streets by bike. It's also a great way to check out what a cool city we have once you slow down enough to enjoy it.
Why? To encourage active transportation in the Queen City -- which leads to happier, healthier, environmentally-friendly residents who save a lot of money when they leave the car at home.
Call Kathy Holwadel, Chair Cincinnati Bike/PAC (681-6424) or KD Rex from Hamilton County Bike Program (946-4467) for more information.
