The draft map for the City of Cincinnati's Bicycle Master Plan is now available on line for your review and comment! The draft plan includes 130 miles of bike lanes for the City.
The draft map in PDF format can be downloaded here (large!): Cincinnati Draft Bike Map. You can provide your feedback now to the City here: http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/bikes/feedback.html
Michael Moore, acting Director of the Department of Transportation and Engineering, said this morning on WVXU that the draft map reflects the City's new commitment to improving conditions for bicycles as everyday transportation throughout the City.
Queen City Bike is going further and is urging the City to begin moving ahead immediately with bike lanes on Riverside Drive and Madison Road, and making improvements on Spring Grove for bicyclists in and around Northside and Spring Grove Village. These three roadways must be part of any future bikeway network for the City, so there is no need for further delay.
A public Open House where you can give your feedback in person on the complete draft plan is scheduled for
Wednesday, May 5, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Clifton Cultural Arts Center
3711 Clifton Avenue
Cincinnati, OH
Plan to join us at this event to make your voice heard, and watch this space for further announcements.
