Bockfest + Bicycling = "Bockficycling"

What: Bockfest 2009 Parade
When: Friday March 6, 2009 6:00 pm Parade - Assemble starting at 5ish
Where: Arnold's Bar & Grill 210 East Eighth Street
Why: A renaissance celebration of bock beer and the coming of spring, with bicycles

You are invited to join a nutty group of bicyclists in the Bockfest 2009 parade. If you haven't seen or participated in Bockfest, seize this opportunity to fill that hole in your life while promoting bicycling in Cincinnati.

The parade begins at Arnold's Bar & Grill, winds through Over-the-Rhine, and ends at the Bockfest Hall located at 1150 Main Street. There the traditional Blessing of the Beer will take place with all the pomp, flourishes, and dog-barking you can handle. We will ride as a group to show our solidarity and support for bicycling and to prevent too many participants from getting lost.

Visit the Bockfest website www.bockfest.com for more information about events throughout the weekend. You will notice from the parade photographs that costumes are encouraged. Goats, monks, gargoyles, mardi gras, pagan nymphs, lederhosen, and alarming eccentricity are all
acceptable themes. Bockficyclists will be issued an official Bockficycling 2009 commemorative button for some extra flair.

Please note, Bockficycling 2009 is not endorsed by or affiliated with Hamilton County, the Regional Planning Commission, the City of Cincinnati, or anyone with a shred of dignity.
