OKI’s New Cincinnati Bike Route Guide Review: Last Chance!

From our friends at OKI:

The 1998 Cincinnati Bike Route Guide is being updated. Two public meetings were held in November for area cyclists to assist with updating and adding roads to be included on the new map. At this time, February, these suggestions have been reviewed and incorporated into the new map and production layout is underway.

Please note that the Cincinnati guide covers only portions of Hamilton County, Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties. Its purpose is more for facilitating utilitarian travel within the urban area than recreational trips.

We are providing an opportunity for those interested to review the new map and make any last minute recommendations that may be necessary. You may call Don Burrell at 513-621-6300 or dburrell@oki.org to make an appointment during business hours Tuesday thru Thursday this week, February 24 – 26 or stop by OKI’s office Board Room on Thursday, the 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

We are located in the Sawyer Point Building at 720 E. Pete Rose Way, Suite 420 (4th floor). Parking is available in the Bicentennial Commons lot across the street. Bikes can be locked to the ribbon rack across the street or to the railing on the loading dock behind the building (video surveillance is everywhere).

Is there a place to view it in its current state on line so that we can comment? How about including Clermont County as well, as many of us on the east side end up there pretty frequently. Also, include hill grades for popular climbs.

Hi Brent -

Give Don a call at OKI. In draft stage, it's only available in hard copy, I believe. I don't know how much of Clermont County is included. There is some information on grades - the most difficult are indicated with symbols.
